OMG, PK does a PB!

It's early season, and was no more than 10 degrees when Paul King started in the Lea Valley 25 on the E2 near Newmarket, so a storming ride didn't necessarily look on the cards.

But PK has had a fantastic winter's training and put all this hard work to good use by blasting round the course in 57:44 to take over 30 seconds off his lifetime PB that was set back in the 1990's.

This time makes Paul the fastest in the team so far this year, and with some potentially fast 10's lined up in the next few weeks hopefully there will be more PB's still to come.

Round one of N&DCA series - Hugo and Sam battle for honour of fastest in the team!

Round one of the season long Northampton and District Series saw Team SalesEngine.co.uk out in force at Middleton for the 19.1 mile event.

Early season form suggested that Sam Hayes and Hugo Hocknell were likely to be closely matched when it came to their first head to head and so it proved with Sam just taking the honour of fastest from the team on the day with his excellent 47:14 just pipping Hugo's 47:20. This was good enough for 14th and 15th place on the day and places them 8th and 9th in the series after the first round.

A little further down the field Steve Robinson took over 3 minutes off his course PB to record 50:40 for 40th place. His father Roy Robinson also enjoyed a cracking first event in team colours to finish with 60:46 which was several minutes faster than he expected, and put him just ahead of the final member of the team Stuart Hocknell (who was the only one to get caught in the rising wind and hail!) to clock 65:13.

Dave Wentworth heads north and bags a top 20!

Over Easter Dave Wentworth braved chilly temperatures, wet roads and rough road surfaces to take on the Abbotsford Park 10. The last time he rode the course was back in 1976, and despite the conditions and being 36 years older he managed to improve on his previous course PB with a superb 24:53 which was good enough for 18th place. Top ride Dave!

Team Salesengine out in force at Icknield Hilly

Completely calm but very cold conditions greeted four members of Team Salesengine.co.uk at the Icknield hilly on Sunday morning.

Sam Hayes stormed round the course as the fastest member of the team to clock a superb 47:34 to put him almost three minutes clear of the rest of the team. It's great to see Sam come out of the winter in such flying form.

The battle for second in the team was extremely tight between Paul King and Steve Robinson. According to the result board Steve just pipped Paul with his 50:14 putting him just 7 seconds ahead of Paul's 50:21. But according to Steve's timing he actually clocked 50:40 so there is a chance this may be reversed when the results are double checked.

Final member of the team was David Ledgerton who clocked 58:35 to comfortably get inside the hour for the 18.6 mile and very testing course.
