Roy smashes his PB at the Cambridge CC 10

A total of 8 members of the team were competing at the Cambridge CC 10 at Cambourne on Saturday, and despite the unseasonably cold and windy conditions there were some excellent rides posted.

Top ride of the day has to go to Roy Robinson who showed yet more signs of ever improving form by taking over 1 minute 20 off his PB to clock 27:50 and bagging third place on handicap into the bargain. Also improving on his PB was Steve Robinson who managed to just beat his Last Three Seasons time by 4 seconds with 23:31.

The gap between Hugo Hocknell and Sam Hayes continues to be a wafer thin one, with Hugo just taking the honours of fastest team member of the day with his 22:46 just edging Sam's 22:48. These times were good enough for 21st and 23rd in a class field that included reigning 10 mile champion Michael Hutchinson.

David Ledgerton also continued his progress as he races his way back to form with a strong 25:22 and Stuart Hocknell only narrowly missed out on his PB on a tough day with 29:17.

In the tandem event Dave Wentworth and Chris Hartley were taking on Kevin Stokes and Ian Marshall who are one of the strongest pairings in the area. Despite riding well to clock 22:52 Chris and Dave had to settle for second place to the Team Milton keynes duo but in only their second race it shows there is more to come.
